Lowden Guitars

Is a Lowden guitar worth the money???
I'm thinking about buying a Lowden, an 0-38 to be exact. It's a fantastic guitar, it looks great and it sounds unbelieveable. The one thing I'm worried about is the price. It's €6620 new, straight out of Downpatrick (after an 8-12 month waiting list).
I already have a Cort Parkwood 360M (€1250) and its fantastic, completely reliable, sound is great, looks great, no problems. Have it for 3 years now and its never broken, dented, scratched (no i'm not trying to sell it!), I've kept it in perfect condition. Never got string noise or other problems like that.
But I really want something exceptional and perfectly suited for my style of playing (fingerpicking, flatpicking and thumb[travis]picking). I was recommended going for a Lowden by a friend.
I was looking at some others too but I got to play one a while ago and I love it!
So is it worth the money? Or should I stick with what I have?
Opinions please.
Your utilization of the instrument is definitely a key factor.
If you are a performer, which at the $10,000 level I'm assuming you are, then this should depend on whether you'll be micing or plugging in. If you went with the Lowden, backing it up with an equally premium microphone & preamp is really the only way you'd do it justice in both live and studio settings. If you plug in, the Parkwood should be more than sufficient.
Feel and compatibility with your playing style is also extremely important (performer or not). It looks like the O-38 is without a cutaway so I'm assuming you don't spend much time in the upper register (especially since you're a Travis picker). If by chance you do, I'd recommend staying with the Cort or going with one of the LS models or even doing a custom build of the 38 with a cutaway.
If you're a hobbyist looking for great tone and feel, sit in a room with each guitar and follow your gut. Still undecided after that then do a blind listen of someone else playing the two back to back and go from there.
Hope this helps,
