As a musician and songwriter, I have been keenly awaiting the launch of this new workstation and have decided to build this site to assist anyone who might be looking for korg arranger workstation reviews and a korg pa3x review.
OK, so lets get started.
The korg PA series are acknowleged widely as the most successful arranger keyboards ever produced. And this latest incarnation looks set to raise the bar once again.
The PA series are used by many thousands of professional musicians the world over. And are well known for there superb features and quality of sound.
The PA3X comes in two distinct configurations.
The lightweight and compact 61-key model.
And a 76-key version, which has a semi-weighted action and a tilting motorized display . Both have great feel, and natural responsive velocity sensitivity and after touch.
There is a new, easier to read TFT Color Touch Screen, and has more detailed objects and icons. And a new search feature makes finding settings during live performance easier.The DNC (Defined Nuance Control) and RX (Real Experience) technology has been improved and makes full use of the powerful new sound engine. Which gives the performer accurate and expressive sound articulation and nuance.
The Pa3X comes with more than 1100 outstanding new sounds which include, a new grand piano. Brand new electric pianos from the acclaimed KORG SV-1 stage piano; new guitars basses and wind instuments.
More than 100 "Real Ambience" drum kits give texture and life to any rythm section. The korg internal Sampler is equipped with a new Sound Compression feature and can also Load/Import Korg, WAV, AIFF, and Akai samples and export in WAV or AIFF.
Really great effects can add polish and class to your sound and the korg Pa3X comes fully loaded.Up to 8 Stereo Digital Multi Effect processors can now be used with over 140 readilly available.
Officionados will know, Korg has a long history of collaboration with TC-Helicon®, who are the world leaders in vocal effects and harmoniesThe PA3X features TC-Helicons® latest voice processor which can provide up to 4 realistic voices plus 2 doubled harmonies.the new, Audio Chord Detection function, automatically extracts chords from audio files and sends them to the Vocal Processor for refinement.
The Pa2X was well known for its dynamic and realistic styles and again the PA3X excells here with more than 400 available straight out of the box.
Each Style features 4 Fill In + Break patterns, one for each variation, and can be recalled automatically as you move between variations.
more parameters have been added to “Guitar Mode 2” which give richness and realism to guitar tracksAnother brand new function, “Chord Sequencer”, allows you to record chord progressions on-the-fly, so you can you to immediately play along with your own chord sequence.
The industry leading, XDS Cross fade Dual Sequencer Player, now supports the “+G” format for both MP3 and MIDI files as well as all the main music formats which can be played together.
This new feature means backing sequences with enriched lyrics and graphics can be displayed simultaneously on the on-board TFT display and on an external monitor (with the VIF4 option installed).

Two different MP3 or MIDI files can be played together, and can be transposed, accelerated or slowed down.

This allows vocals to be removed from MP3 files with ease while keeping the original stereo image of the song.
The greatly enhanced 16 track sequencer allows increased levels of sequencing, and allows easy and quick song creation using the “Backing Sequence function“.
This new feature allows you to record an entire performance! You can run a song file, play the keyboard, sing along and record everything as you go in MP3 format which can be stored on an external USB device or in the internal Hard Disk (76 version only – optional for the 61 key version).
The new songbook function is a programmable and searchable database. Each entry contains the settings required to play a particular song. A single entry can recall a Style, a MIDI file or an MP3, together with all the other paramaters needed for perfect song playback.

Sufficed to say though, the Pa3X is one awesome piece of kit.
It is a complete studio/performance solution, which eliminates the technical nightmare and know how out of performing or recording your work. Which then allows you to concentrate on the most important factor…Being creative!!
