which one should i get?

Hello there,

I suggest if possible, you go to a store and try these out to see which feels most comfortable and which has the sound you like best. What guitar I find comfortable, and which neck I find easiest to play may not be the same for you. Also, what sound I like from a guitar may not be your ideal sound. There is a lot of personal preferences in selecting a guitar. No one guitar is best for everyone.

If you cannot get to try these out, then read the reviews at Harmony Central.

Of the models you selected, only the Mitchell has reviews. However, it is worth reading about some other models of Washburn and Takamine Jasime to get an idea as to the quality of the instrument.

From my own experience, I am not fond of Washburn. I have had some bad experiences over the years with cheaper Washburn guitars, such as sharp edges on the ends of the frets that I had to polish down. I do not like playing on low end Washburn necks, nor do I like the sound from low end Washburn guitars. Some of the higher end models are fine, but I had not had good experiences with the lower end models.

I have not owned a Takamine, but others do like the quality of the instrument. Also, I have never played a Mitchell, but I read the user reviews at Harmony Central. I was quite surprised by the quality of this guitar. I thought I could trust the last reviewer said, he had 42 years experience (nearly as much as me). He has played enough to know what a good guitar plays like and sounds like. Before I read that review, I would have suggested the Takamine Jasmine. However, after reading about the Mitchell, I think it is worth considering.

Also, you should be aware that all of these are lower end models, that is less expensive models. And as such, none of them will play like or sound like the high end models from these same companies. You can expect the action to come a bit high. Factory strings are seldom great. Plastic nuts and bridge pins do not sound as good as bone ones (but don't cost as much). All of these are guitars you can learn on, no whatever which you choose. Just keep in mind this is a lower end model and may not have the great full rich sound of the high end models. Many things go into the building of a guitar that give it that full rich sound and all of those things cost. Keep your expectations reasonable, and you will not be disappointed in any of these guitars. As a beginner, you do not yet know what to expect from your guitar and what makes for a comfortable playing guitar. You will learn that after you learn to play and you can learn to play on any of these.

Go with the one you like best, No matter what the reason. There is not such a great difference as to say one is absolutely better than the others. That is why I say go with the one you like best. I think it is easier for a beginner to put in the effort and have the dedication to learn to play if they are playing the guitar they like best. If you buy based entirely on someone else's opinion and you do not love that guitar when you get it, you may find it harder to put in the work to learn. If you love your guitar, you will put in the work to learn, no matter whether your guitar is a great one or a mediocre one.
