Wilkinson Guitar Roller Nut
-------guitar question-------?
Ok, so when i tap with my left hand (playing hand not strumming hand) i get 2 tones. One is the one im supposed to get, the other is a high pitch note that comes from the area between my tapping finger and the neck. I want to get rid of that. Im wondering if a capo might get rid of it or maybe a different roller nut..would a Wilkinson Roller Nut Work?? I hope this makes sense..can any1 help me?

ya i still get the sound because i have absolutely noisless pickups...ive found that if i mute the strings with my pointing finger and tap the string with another finger i wont get the sound. My index finger is sort of behaving like a capo and guarding the sound from comming out which is y i wonder if a capo would work. But if a different roller nut would work that would be the best
There is a device called the Batten string damper...

I've also seen guys put a woman's hair scrunchy on the strings, just to the right of the nut.
It will mute the strings just enough to eliminate the ring you get from tapping....supposedly.
It's a cheap fix anyways.
